The rain yesterday added some much needed color and flow to the Potomac. River conditions are still very fishable today and through the weekend but will improve dramatically early next week as the water temperature rises. Shad continue to be caught as well as a few striped bass. Some perch around. Next week will be the start of the peak for hickory shad. The warmer weather and increased flows will draw up more American shad, perch, and stripers. As always, lots of catfish being caught.
